Chrismon 12

No creature better represents transformation than the butterfly, from the earthbound caterpillar, to the sacrificial cocoon, and finally to the fully emerged and beautiful butterfly flitted through the air.

This is Christ, earthbound in his mortal form until he entered the cocooning tomb. When he emerged, he seemed transformed, having shed His earthly substance. Brilliant as an angel, he was mistaken by the women for one until he spoke and they recognized him.
